AADGP Board Member Anyone who knows Pete will agree that his professional life is guided by 3 core principles; innovation, growth and integrity. Add to that tenacity. It is not always easy to uphold all of these, but Pete somehow manages to do it. In fact, he demands it of himself. Raised in a dental family, Pete has observed, both from the inside, and from the outside, the evolution of dentistry. He has spent nearly 30 years in the industry, most of them with the Minneapolis-based dental group practices, Park Dental & The Dental Specialists. As Chief Administrative Officer, Pete has led the company in unprecedented growth, from 98 doctors in 2008 to 190 doctors and 1,400 team members in 2021. While striving to drive growth, improve care, and streamline day-to-day operations at Park Dental, Pete has been equally focused on the company’s lifeblood: its employees. Under his leadership, Park Dental has earned a place on the Star Tribune’s Top Workplaces list. Earlier in his career Pete played a key role in the growth of Park Dental and held a variety of roles with American Dental Partners (ADPI), a dental practice management company now owned by Heartland Dental. During his tenure with ADPI, Pete helped grow the business from start-up to over $300 million in revenues and through its 1998 IPO. Pete enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children. Whenever possible, he escapes to Namakan Lake, Canada, where he loves fishing, boating, tinkering, and relaxing with his family. He has special interest in the preservation of Minnesota’s northern wilderness and was a director on the Voyageur National Park Association board for 10 years. Pete is also an avid biker and alpine racer. He still races, and much to his wife’s chagrin, he ventures out to British Columbia each year to Heli ski in Revelstoke. Pete earned his B.A. in Economics, with departmental distinction, from St. Olaf College. As an alumnus, he enjoys volunteering for the college and appreciates his strong network of fellow Oles.
